Taking a Home Pregnancy Test (0)
If you are like 99.9% of women out there, you will take a home pregnancy test to figure out whether or not you are pregnant. With my first baby, I took five tests before realizing the faint second line was a positive test result! I immediately went and bought another test that said “Pregnant” or “Not Pregnant.” I felt ridiculous for buying yet another test, but the day I got a positive pregnancy test was one of the most emotional, memorable days of my life. Blame the hormones!

Where Should I Take My Childbirth Education Class? (0)
Most midwives and doctors recommend (or require) first time mothers take a childbirth education class prior to delivery. Especially if you haven’t given much thought to how you want to give birth, childbirth education class will give you and your partner valuable information to start creating your birth plan. The mistake most moms make (me too!) is automatically signing up for the childbirth class given at the hospital where they are giving birth. If I had done a little research into the class I was taking, I would have realized that the childbirth class given at the hospital where I gave birth was incompatible with my birth philosophy. Ultimately the childbirth class I took was a waste of time and very frustrating to me. Since then I have taken and/or familiarized myself with several childbirth education programs out there that are much more helpful at preparing a pregnant woman for labor.
